How to Dry Strawberries

Strawberries can be stored at the house without spending too much on energy bills. You must select ripe and red strawberries for the drying process. Rinse in water after spraying them with white vinegar.

How to Dry Strawberries

  • The cap and all the bad spots on the strawberries must be removed.
  • Cut the fruits into uniform slices of around ½ inch in sizes. This ensures that they will dry up uniformly. You should spread them out so that they don’t overlap each other.
  • Air must be allowed to flow freely all around the slices of strawberry you are drying.
  • There are three ways of drying strawberries and these are mainly done through air, oven or the use of a food dehydrator.
  • Air drying requires high temperatures or 100oC plus low humidity.
